Domain hosting is having your site (www.yourname.com) hosted by a server and thus publishing your site to the Internet.

How do I register my domain name and how much will it cost?

Will InfoDesign Solutions, Inc. help register my domain name?
Yes. We can assist you in reserving your domain. We will do the research to see if your domain name is available. If it is not registered, then we will register the name for you and invoice you later. If it is registered, we will try different variations of the name you would like until we get the right one.

What if I already have a domain with another provider and want to host with InfoDesign Solutions, Inc.?
We can transfer your domain to our servers. Since there are multiple providers for obtaining domains, we will contact you with the specifics on getting your domain updated and transferred. There is a $39.99 expedited transferable fee and $10.00 transferable fee for normal transfer.

How quickly can my account be setup?
Usually if a domain is registered and submitted before 5pm then it is possible to have your site working the very next morning. Domain transfers take a bit longer but usually happen within 2-4 days.

What is domain parking and can I "park" my domain name at InfoDesign Solutions, Inc. Hosting Server?
Domain parking is a way of reserving your name without having to build a web site. The latest estimates predict that over 8,000 names per month are currently being registered. With that in mind, parking your name guarantees that when you are ready to build your web site, your name will be ready as well. I do not want to pay with a credit card. Do you provide paper base invoicing?
Yes, we offer email and postal mail invoicing and you can mail us your payment in the form of a check or money order. We offer 10% discounts for customers paying yearly to ease the burden of writing a check monthly.

Do you deal with international orders?
Yes, international orders are welcome.

How am I billed?
You may choose to be billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. There are no setup fees and we offer a 30-day money back guarantee. Invoices are mailed out on the 25th of the month for the following month. For example, if you place your order on the 4th of the month, an invoice will get mailed out on the 25th with a due date of the 5th of the following month. In effect, you get the remainder of the month for free as a chance to check out our services.

Do I get a discount for paying a year in advance?
Yes, you can save 10% off the yearly subscription. Multiple domains paid yearly get an additional 5% discount (15% total).

What if I referred someone to your site?
If you refer an account to our site and they complete an application, you will get one month of your hosting free.

Where are your SERVERS physically located?
They should be located as close to the main Internet Backbone as possible (e.g. Chicago, NY, LA)—otherwise people will incur a performance hit while trying to load your site. Our servers are located in Lorton VA of which is near New York.

How much RAM will I be allowed to use?
The average Website will only need between 5 – 20 MB of space, this is sufficient.

Can I upgrade my account at anytime?
You can always upgrade your account if you need extra transfer. If you are just starting out, you probably won’t. Most packages will give you 200MB. Very seldom does sites need this much space.

Will you host a site that has already been designed by another company?
Of course we will. We will host a new site, transfer a site from another hosting company, upgrade your site…whatever you want to do, you tell us!!!
